Hello my friend,
Many years ago, I had a friend who yelled “Hello my friend!” at strangers, and he legitimately meant it. He considered strangers friends he hadn’t met yet.
I extend that same greeting to you. As you, like me, are committed to one thing: becoming more and more yourself every day.
Some folks will call it growth, authenticity or vulnerability.
I call it being alive.
Truly becoming ourselves requires cultivating our ideas.
There is no true original thought in the world; no thought comes from nothing.
Our thoughts emerge through friction with other ideas, creating little sparks in the darkness of the universe. These little points of light can give warmth to our otherwise mundane existence, however briefly.
Some of these idea sparks can be tended to, grown, set ablaze and spread like wildfire across the universe.
And yet, each of these sparks is a mere flicker of the divine spark from which all ideas originate. All ideas, and the friction between them, can be traced back to that original divine spark.
That originality is inside all of us.
The divine spark came into the world at the beginning of all things.
Truly inspired work comes from us uncovering a fraction of that original creation. Inspired creation shows tiny glimpses of that original divine spark.
Creators who uncover that original spark will change the world.
They are their true selves, shining a light on Plato’s cave wall trying to find the edges of the shadow. They are filled with unquenching wonder.
I am on a journey to find my inner spark to share with the world and I want you to find yours as well.
Not everyone will survive this journey. Most will fail to truly make that connection.
It’s a path of chaos, madness, and thorough self-examination.
It’s a path for the brave, intelligent, and passionate who are always mentoring, teaching, and sharing.
And, most importantly, it’s for those who crave mentorship on their journey to release their divine spark into the world.
I invite you to walk this path with me as we navigate the wilderness, brave our paths, and find our sparks. I hope for the chance to illuminate the way so that you, my friend, can become who you are truly meant to be.
